Keep your kids entertained on the roads

If you are heading out on the road this Summer and you have your kids in tow, you may be wondering how on earth to keep them entertained in the car. If this sounds familiar, we have some tips that you can get stuck into to make sure you have everything you need for an almost-peaceful journey.

Stock up on snacks

You want to make sure you have enough snacks to last you the journey and then some. It doesn’t all have to be crisps and chocolate, throw some fruit into the mix and look for some healthy ones to sneak in there as well.

Plan in toilet breaks

There is nothing worse than stopping at every services, or desperately needing the loo without a services in sight! Look at your map and your journey and plan in a suitable amount of stops so you can rest assured they’re planned in advance.

Get some games on the go

From good old fashioned eye spy to any car games you have in your family, get the whole family involved or even get some tunes on the radio and sing along. A happy journey is a quicker journey, trust us!

Accept devices and books

Whether it is an iPad or a Kindle, or anything else for that matter, accept the help they bring and don’t beat yourself up about having them in the car. Get through the journey and there will be plenty of time for exploring and excitement when you reach your destination.
